Jacques Majorelle is a leading figure of orientalist painting, creator of the well-known Majorelle Garden in Marrakech, now Yves Saint Laurent Museum. The book is the catalogue for the exhibition « Le Maroc de Jacques Majorelle », inaugural exhibition of the Yves Saint Laurent Museum. The background colour of the introduction pages is inspired by the Majorelle Blue, that he used for painting various elements in Majorelle Garden. The graphic design is leaded by the use of bold typography, balanced with very large white spaces and big images.
