Creation of two CD packagings for the itinerant project of the sound artist Lorenzo Bianchi Hoesch.
This project is based on the meeting and dialogue of ancient and ancestral instruments and the electronics, where the electronics become the development, resonance and form of the root-source. There is therefore no opposition between two worlds – acoustic and electronic, traditional and contemporary, African and Western – but rather acceptance, collaboration and risk taking.
In the first project, Radicants, is the Kora, in the hands of a virtuoso Ballaké Sissoko, that dialogue with the sounds and paths created by Lorenzo Bianchi Hoesch.
In the second project, Inner Spaces, trumpeter, santur player, vocalist, and composer Amir ElSaffar joins the electronics of Lorenzo Bianchi-Hoesch to explore electro-acoustic spaces, maqam, microtonal harmonies, and improvised and composed structures in a modular musical composition that accommodates a variety of musical styles across genres.
